• Today DTL and HM Expert Sir visited the ISS Gudvella site. During the visit, the Department JE, PMC Site engineers and agency site engineer were present.
1. The mechanical work checked by HM Expert.
2. The agency was directed to submit the design and drawings for the afflux bund and approach road without further delay.
3. DTL Sir has instructed the agency to procure stone for stone pitching and ensure its completion before the monsoon without fail.
4. Conducted 28 days CS of cubes M30A20 & M20A40 grade at field laboratory and results found 40.88 N/mm2 & 22.88 N/mm2 respectively.
5. Checked the parapet wall with posting and building and found it as per the approved design drawing.
6. Regular monitoring should be carried out to ensure quality and timely completion of the balance works.
7. Design, drawing for the road and sluice gate on afflux bund may be submitted for further approval on 17.04.2026

• Visited to ISS at Gudvela all the site engineers and deptt je were present. It was observed that the construction of the downstream (d/s) parapet wall has been initiated and is in progress. The work is expected to be completed within the current month. Then wiring coat to the slab will be started.
All other concrete works related to the structure have been completed.
However, it is noted that the required stone materials have not yet been collected at the site, which may affect the progress of the remaining associated works.
Suggestion:- 1. The concerned agency should ensure immediate procurement and stacking of the required stone materials at the site without further delay.
2. The parapet construction work should be expedited to meet the targeted completion timeline.
3. Proper planning and coordination should be maintained to avoid any hindrance in subsequent works due to material shortage.
4. Regular monitoring should be carried out to ensure quality and timely completion of the balance works.
