• Today SE Madam, SDO and JE from the Quality Assurance Division, Balangir visited the ISS Gudvella. During the inspection the departmental JE, PMC site engineers and the contractor's engineer were present.
The following quality inspections were carried out:
1. The team inspected the overall quality aspects of the project. A slump test was conducted in the field for the deck slab wearing coat concrete and the slump value was found to be 60 mm which is within the satisfactory range.
2. The thickness of the GSB layer was checked and found to be as per the approved design.
3. A NDT was conducted on the building slab and columns and the average compressive strength was found to be 37.83 N/mm² against the M25A20 RCC grade which is satisfactory.
4. Another NDT was conducted on the upstream flared out wall at A1 and the compressive strength was found to be 26 N/mm² against the M20A20 PCC grade which is satisfactory on 24.07.2026

2. Regarding the DG set, the Superintending Engineer clarified that a separate inspection report is not required for the installed DG set. Inspection reports are mandatory only for DG sets having a capacity of 500 kVA and above on 22.07.2026
